Former trucker Forrest Lucas and his wife Charlotte founded Lucas Oil Products, Inc., in 1989. Today, Lucas Oil considers itself the world leader in the production of high performance lubricants and problem-solving additives and markets them in more than forty countries.
Lucas Oil has two major plants in the United States - the original one in Corona, California, plus a 350,000-square-foot oil and lubricant production facility in Corydon, Indiana. The Corona facility houses Lucas Oil Corporate Headquarters plus Lucas Oil Production Studios, Team Lucas, Lucas Oil Racing TV and MAVTV Motorsports Network.
Additional purchases included Lucas Rail to service the Corydon plant and the local business community. Next the Lucas’ added Lucas Cattle Ranch in the Ozarks of Missouri close to their, state-of-the-art racetrack, Lucas Oil Speedway and their purpose built drag boat lake – Lake Lucas in Wheatland, MO. In 2008, they also put the Lucas name on Lucas Oil Stadium, home of the Indianapolis Colts and later founded and developed their own political initiative, Protect the Harvest.
When Forrest and Charlotte began Lucas Oil, they chose motorsports as the cornerstone of the company's marketing strategy leading them to sponsor race teams, events and series at all levels, including, NHRA, ASCS, NASCAR, INDYCAR, IHRA and many more. Lucas Oil has also taken ownership and operational control of high profile racing properties such as the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series, Lucas Oil Drag Boat Series, Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League, Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, Lucas Oil Modified Series and the Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO.

In 2015, Forrest and Charlotte entered the movie industry with a commitment to bring inspirational, hopeful content to the marketplace. "The Dog Lover" starring James Remar and Lea Thompson was the first of a slate of films produced by ESX Entertainment, with Forrest as Executive Producer and his non-profit organization "Protect The Harvest" pairing with Ali Afshar's ESX Entertainment. "The Dog Lover" was followed by "Running Wild" starring Sharon Stone and Tommy Flanagan. Recently in distribution was "American Wrestler", a co-production between ESX and Forrest Films, starring John Voight and William Fichtner. Currently in distribution is "DIRT," an over the edge off-road racing drama starring "Entourage alum Kevin Dillon and off-road racing star Carl Renezeder.
